Peggy Thomas Owens

Peggy Thomas Owens, 86, of High Point, formerly of the Hasty Community, met the Lord Saturday morning February 6, 2016 at Westchester Manor.
Born November 7, 1929 in Davidson County, she was a daughter of the late Luther R. Thomas and the late Mary Hill Thomas. Mrs. Owens was the retired cook and kitchen supervisor for First Baptist Church in High Point. She was a member of Thomasville Assembly of God and her joy was serving the Lord, cooking and fishing.
She is survived by her daughter, Marty Livengood, son, Billy Coleman and wife Lindy all of Thomasville; step-children, Bubba Owens and wife April of Thomasville, Dean Owens and Sherwin Bolton both of GA, Peggy Craven and Wendy Stein both of SC; sister, Reba Aulbert of High Point; five grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several step great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Aubrey (Buddy) Owens.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 13, 2016 at First Baptist Church, High Point with Rev. Frank Smith and Dr. Lamar King officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
