Peggy Wallace Brookshire, 81, of High Point, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born June 15, 1936, in Guilford County, a daughter of the late Gilbert Wallace and the late Jean Foster Wallace. Mom was the sweetest person we knew. She had the biggest heart and would give anyone her last dollar if you asked for it. She was also a lover of animals, and she had a dog named Rex and six cats that she loved. Mom treated all friends like they were very own family. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, Ray Brookshire of the home; son, Jeff Brookshire and fiancé Jennifer Stiller; daughter, Susan Robertson and husband Randy; brothers, Gilbert Wallace, Jr.; sister, Katie Malone all of High Point; grandchildren, Melissa, Terry, Ashley, Laura, Robert, Lindsay, and Justin; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Terry Brookshire, and Billy Ray Brookshire; grandson, Michael Brookshire; and sister, Hazel Mabe.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Trinity Heights Wesleyan Church with Rev. Cranford Crenshaw officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
