Mrs. Pearl Foust Denning, 92, of Greensboro, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, July 27, 2017.
Born May 10, 1925 in Guilford County, Mrs. Denning was the daughter of the late Grady and Ida Cowan Foust.
Mrs. Denning was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Arthur Victor Denning, Sr. Together in 1954, the two started the first of four Vic’s Barbecue Restaurants. In 1976, they joined Jamestown United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Denning is survived by her son Victor Denning, Jr. (Cathy Carter-Cline); sister, Gladys Norman of Lexington; grandchildren, Victor Jason Denning (Marie); Arthur Franklin Denning and Charles Daniel Denning (Becky); grandchildren Abbigail, Jackson, Kayleigh and Victoria.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, August 4, 2017, at Jamestown United Methodist Church with Reverend Tom Latimer officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
