Pamela (Reynolds) Kennedy

Pamela Reynolds Kennedy, 69, of Sophia, North Carolina, closed her eyes on earth and opened them in heaven on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Pamela was born in Greensboro, North Carolina to Howard Reynolds and Annie Key on September 9, 1950.  She graduated from Southeast Guilford High School.  She married Marion (Bud) Kennedy on August 7, 1966 in Jacksonville, South Carolina.  Pamela was a member of Harvest Church in Greensboro, North Carolina.  She retired from Lucent Technologies after 31 years of dedicated service.  She is lovingly remembered as a tough and headstrong woman who selflessly took care of her family with love and hard work.  She was a spirit-filled believer whose prayers were vital in the lives of her children.  Her faith and strength made her an overcomer.  Pamela is also remembered for being fun-spirited, silly, and one who loved to dance.  She loved flowers and enjoyed painting.  Her favorite show was Lone Ranger and her favorite actor was Chuck Norris.

Pamela is preceded in death by her brother David Reynolds.

Pamela is survived by her husband Marion Kennedy; son Jerome Kennedy and wife Sabrina; daughters Nicole Phillips and husband Shane, Amy Taylor and husband Al, Crystal Powell and husband Steve; father, Howard Reynolds; mother Annie McCain; brother Jeffrey Reynolds; grandchildren Haley Phillips, Layne Phillips, Hannah Kennedy, Dalton Ashworth, Payton Ashworth, Aaron Isley, Faith Rodriguez, Heaven Taylor, Rachel Taylor, Anna Leigh Taylor, Jackson Powell and Kennedy Powell; and great-grandchild: Salem Rodriguez.

A celebration of Pamela’s life will be held at 11 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Harvest Church, located at 4915 Guilford College Road, Greensboro with Pastor Joseph Coyne of Harvest Church officiating.  The family will receive visitors following the service outside of Harvest Church.  Please note that all social distancing mandates will be followed during the service with masks required to enter.  Due to social distancing standards, space will be limited.
