Eleanor “Paddy” Cook McDowell, 84, of High Point, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018, at High Point Regional Hospital.

Born April 6, 1934, in Guilford County, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Everhart Cook. Mrs. McDowell was a retired mortgage lender with BB&T Bank, and a member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jack McDowell of the home; son, Robert McDowell of High Point; daughter, Mary Ann Yow and husband James of Trinity, brother, George Cook and wife Becky of Clemmons; grandchildren, Seth McDowell and wife Lauren, Jordan McDowell, Corey Yow, and Sarah Yow and husband Mo; and great-granddaughter, Vivienne McDowell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Cook.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Thursday, May 3, 2018, at Wright Cremation & Funeral Service.
