Norman Rodger Avins
Norman Rodger Avins, 83, of High Point, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020, at his home.
Born July 13, 1937, in Fairview Park, Ohio. He was a son of the late Clyde Wesley Avins and the late Bernice Bassler Avins. Mr. Avins was a member of the US National Guard, retired from Penn-Ohio Road Materials of Edinburg, Pennsylvania.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Betty Joan Avins of the home; daughter, Lori Johnson of Greensboro; brother, Danny Avins of Ohio; grandchildren, Ian Johnson and Quinn Johnson.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Abbotts Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Scott Truhe officiating.
Wright Funerals-Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
