Nina Kayser Nichols, 78, of Trinity went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 21, 2025, after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Nichols was born in Chandler, Arizona on January 26, 1946, to Raymond J. and Eugenia Trexler Kayser. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Rev. Ronald Wood Nichols and brother, Tony Kayser.
She graduated from Central Davidson High School, where she met her husband and went on to receive a degree in marketing from Davidson County Community College. She spent most of her working career in banking at Davidson Federal Savings and Loan and went into real estate before retirement.
She is survived by daughters, Kristain Starr Coffey (Richard) of Kernersville, NC, Karmen Skeen (Steve) of Trinity, NC; son, Kurt Nichols of Mooresville, NC; grandsons, Chandler Starr of Raleigh, NC, Courtland Starr of Winston Salem, and Grayson Nichols of Mooresville, NC; granddaughter, Lauren Nichols of Mooresville, NC.
A special thanks to her caregiver, Jewel Kearns for her selfless dedication and love in caring for Nina throughout her illness.
The family also extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate team at Hospice of Randolph County for the exceptional care and support provided during her illness.
A private family service will be held to honor Nina’s life.
