Nick Lawson

William Ray “Nick” Lawson, 76, of Winston-Salem, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House.

Born April 3, 1945, in Forsyth County, he was a son of the late Trula Lawson. Nick was a US Army veteran, retired from RJ Reynolds with over thirty-five years of service, and was a member of Faith Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Tisha Lawson Russ and husband Rodney of Winston-Salem; sisters, Martha Stewart and husband Pee Wee of Walkertown, and Kathy Daniels of Kernersville; granddaughters, Logan Russ and Alissa Russ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mickey “Starr” Lawson in 2018, and brother, Lee Lawson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Monday, February 14, 2022, at Faith Church with Pastor Michael Gates officiating. Entombment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM prior to the service at the church.
