Nelson Underwood, Jr

William Nelson Underwood, Jr., 72, of Denton, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024, peacefully at his home.

Born March 25, 1952, in Anson County, he was a son of the late William Nelson Underwood, Sr. and the late Mabel Hamlet Underwood.

Nelson is survived by his daughters, Laura Mullins and husband Kevin of Denton, and Katie Hughes and husband Zac of Thomasville; brothers, Ken Underwood and wife Libby of Tennessee, and Thomas DuVall and wife Dee Dee of High Point; grandchildren, Rylen Hughes, Cole Hughes, and Levi Mullins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Scottie Charles Underwood.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Floral Garden Park with Mr. Ken Underwood officiating.
