Nannie Pricilla Parsons

Nannie Pricilla Parsons, daughter of the late Lee Roy Parsons and the late Nannie Artense Phipps Parsons, was born May 17, 1952 in Grayson County, Virginia. She went home to be with the Lord on October 13, 2021 at the age of 69 surrounded by her family.

Pricilla attended Grayson County Schools and graduated from Alleghany High, Sparta NC. She later moved to Iredell County and had three beautiful children; Paul A. Parsons, Walker L. Parsons, Alisha N. Parsons and later becoming a chosen mother to her great nephew; Tevon J. Parsons.

Preceding her in death are her parents; Lee Roy and Nannie A. Parsons, chosen son; Tevon J. Parsons, one sister; Rosa Johnson and four brothers; Lawrence D. Parsons, Danny R. Parsons, Dwayne N. Parsons and Baby Parsons.

After graduating from High School, Pricilla attended nursing college in Atlanta, GA and completed her college education in Iredell County. Pricilla’s passion in life was her family, cooking and baking. By the age of 9 she was assisting her mother in the kitchen cooking meals for the family. She was known for her desserts, especially her cream cheese pound cake. She attended Love in Action Church of Deliverance and Building GOD’s Kingdom Ministries where she served as President of the Usher Board, President of Hospitality and Church Secretary.

Her fashion sense was impeccable, Sunday hats were always placed perfectly, her laughter was full of joy, and she always had a contagious beautiful smile. The one thing everyone can say about Pricilla is that she was selfless. She spent years as the caretaker for her parents and being another mother for her family and friends. No matter how much pain she was in she never complained and continually put others ahead of herself. Over the last several months her goal was to get well so she could bake to give out her food to bless people.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her life her children; Paul A. Parsons (Nigel & Trillion) {Monroe, NC}, Walker L. Parsons {High Point, NC}, Alisha N. Parsons {High Point, NC}  one sister Savannah C. King {Mt. Airy, NC} five brothers, Archie D. Parsons {Winston Salem, NC}, David R. Parsons {Mocksville, NC}, Douglas W. Parsons {Charlotte, NC}, Dwight D. Parsons {Laredo, Texas} and Donald L. Parsons {Norcross, GA} and a host of other relatives and friends.
