Anne Marie “Nancy” Scott

Greensboro

Anne Marie “Nancy” Scott, 69, of Greensboro, made her transition Monday, April 24, 2017, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born May 28, 1947, in Washington, DC, she was a daughter of the late Charles Edward Dyer and the late Mary Agnes Schroth Dyer. Nancy was a retired Revenue Officer with the IRS and Senior Shop Steward for the NTEU with thirty-five years of service. She was a lover of life; saw the beauty in everything. Nancy was an advocate for the underserved. She had a magnetic way of bringing people together, and an effervescent smile that touched everyone she met.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise Scott Hollifield and husband Edward of Charlotte; brother, Charlie Dyer of MD; sisters, Betty Farrell and husband Donald of VA, Rev. Catherine Klein and husband Josef of Crystal Coast, and Patty Dyer and husband Steve Cole of Liberty; beloved grandchildren, Andrew Scott Hollifield and Mary Claire Hollifield.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Terry Allen Scott in 1992.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 21, 2017, at the Church of the Covenant, 501 S. Mendenhall Street, Greensboro, NC  27403.

The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship Hall for refreshments.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Hospice Home at High Point for their kind and compassionate care.
