Myra Bracco Ray, 74, passed away February 12, 2020, at Cone Health
Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, NC.
Myra was born in Staten Island, NY to Opal Murray and Ray Bracco on October 24, 1945. She went to school at High Point University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She later attended the University of Greensboro where she completed her Masters. She worked in the furniture industry as an administrator for Singer Furniture. She was also a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church in Jamestown. Myra loved to read and visit Barnes & Noble every chance she got. She was a member of the High Point Literary League and she was also inducted into the Psi Chi (the International Honor Society in Psychology which was a huge achievement in her life.
Myra is preceded in death by her mother Opal Murray and her father Ray Bracco.
Myra is survived by her husband Paul Edward Ray, her daughter Kristen Ray Carter husband Rob, her brother Stephen Ray Bracco wife Peggy, her grandchildren Nixon, Beleu, and Knolls. She is also survived by many cousins.
A Funeral service will be held at 2pm February 27, 2020 at Jamestown United Methodist Church located at 403 E. Main Street, Jamestown, NC 27282.
