Misty Horner Smith

Misty Horner Smith, 45, of High Point, passed away Monday, April 4, 2022, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born June 4, 1976, in Guilford County, she was a daughter of Jody Horner (Sybil) of Greensboro, and Lynn Varney Yost (Randy) of Thomasville. Misty was a homemaker and a member of Smith Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Norman Wayne Smith of the home; son, Jeffrey Smith of High Point; daughter, Makayla Seals of High Point; sister, Angie Horner of Greensboro; brother, Isaac Yost and wife Shea of Lexington; grandmother, Vorice Varney of Virginia; aunt, Pat Bishop; stepdaughters, Elizabeth (Liz) Frazier and husband Chris of Franklinville, and Cynthia Smith (Dustin Hare) of Alaska; step-grandmother, Betty Yost of Thomasville; grandchildren, Ryan Frazier, and Zachary Frazier, and expected grandson, Nicholas Frazier.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, April 8, 2022, at Smith Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chuck Peters and Rev. Michael Orman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Thursday, at Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point.
