Merissa Sykes Comer, 62, of High Point, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born December 31, 1956, in Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late Hoyle Sykes, Sr. and the late Pauline “Polly” Hill Sykes.

She is survived by her brother, Hoyle Sykes, Jr. and wife Esther of Archdale; sisters, Cathy Shepherd and husband Wayne of Trinity, Yvette Slawter and husband Don of Leland, and Francine Bryan and husband Michael of Bedford, Virginia.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Patterson Comer, March 31, 2019.
