Melissa Ann Thacker Mabe, 44, of Thomasville, met her Lord and Savior Saturday morning, April 11, 2020.

Born November 30, 1975, in Kingsport, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Terry Thacker and Mildred Herndon Thacker both of Kingsport, Tennessee. Melissa was the Valedictorian of her graduating class at East Tennessee State University and she was a loving homemaker. She was a Pastor’s wife, Godly mother and was a longtime member of New Life Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Pastor Michael Douglas Mabe of the home, children, Mechala Mabe, and Matthew Mabe both of the home; brother, Clinton Thacker and wife Rebekah of Kingsport, Tennessee; niece and nephew, Kaitlyn Thacker, and Andrew Thacker.

Funeral services will be streaming online at New Life Baptist Church Facebook Page at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 14, 2020, with Pastor Ralph Sexton, Jr., and Pastor Daniel Buchanan officiating. Burial will be private in Floral Garden Park.

Melissa will lie in state from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Monday at Wright Funerals-Cremations.
