MaxAnn Leo-Blaine (Burke)

High Point, NC

MaxAnn Leo-Blaine, 72, of ‘The Stratford’, Skeet Club Road, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at her residence facility.

Born March 14, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Maxwell Burke and the late Mary Martha Burke (Holden).  She grew up in Warrington (Pensacola), FL.

Ms. Leo-Blaine is survived by her sons, Alan Quade of LaJolla, CA, Robert Leo of Springfield, VA, Charles Leo of Winter Park, FL, and Daniel Blaine, Jr. of Cocoa Beach, FL;  her daughter Suzanne Blaine-Lax of Trinity, NC; brothers, Millard Burke of Lake Harding, AL, Manning Burke of Susan Moore, AL; and sister Manua Ree Floyd of Tallahassee, FL; and 8 grand-children.

MaxAnn is now at Peace.  Her story holds many memories, and she endured many trials and tribulations of life.  She was a homemaker, involved greatly in her children’s activities when they were young.  Later, she was a member of the Sweet Adelines singing group in Florida, and member of the Beta Sigma Pi sorority.  She was blessed to have made many dear friends along the way.  She passed unexpectedly and peacefully and will be remembered always.  Please remember her most by her laughter and generosity of spirit.

A small memorial and celebration of MaxAnn’s life was held May 13, 2016 at The Stratford, for the local friends and residents she lived with.  A casual family gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and memory, and to return her ashes to the earth at a place she loved.

In lieu of any flowers, we ask that donations be made to Ruff Love Rescue/Feline Friends of High Point, NC.  As an avid animal lover, that is something she would greatly approve of.

Condolences may be expressed online at www.wrightcremationandfuneral.com.

Wright Cremation & Funeral Services took care of MaxAnn, according to her wishes for cremation.
