Max Lyndal Collins

Max Lyndal Collins, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 26, 2017, in Johnson City, TN.
Born on April 2, 1923, in Lexington, NC, he was the son of the late Willie Lee Collins and the late Vallie Cross Collins. Mr. Collins was a US Army Air Corps veteran, and a faithful member of Covenant Church United Methodist in High Point.
He is survived by his three sons, Richard Collins and his wife, Susan of Zebulon, NC, Larry Collins and his wife Barbara of High Point, and David Collins and his wife, Hilda of Johnson City TN; eight grandchildren, Suzanne Collins, Allen Collins and his wife Tiffany, Jeffrey Collins and his wife Mandey, Stephanie Hawkins, Bryan Collins, Timothy Collins and his wife Megan, Michael Collins and his wife Julia, and Lauralyn Rodifer and her husband Jason; twelve great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marilyn Cox.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of seventy-four years Sara Varner Collins; brother, Leon Collins and sister, Nell Huggins.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, October 30, 2017, in Floral Garden Park.
A visitation will immediately follow at Covenant Church United Methodist, Room 10, 1526 Skeet Club Road, High Point.
