Mary Tyler Stephens, 99, of formerly of Coventry Rd. High Point, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Pennybyrn at Maryfield.

Born July 6, 1919, in Bertie County, she was a daughter of the late Edgar S. Tyler and the late Pauline Mitchell Tyler. Mrs. Stephens along with her husband, was the owner and operator of Henderson Mooney Manufacturing. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Helen Bowman Sunday School Class and a longtime member of Green Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her nephew-in-law, Teddy Williams of Rocky Mount; cousin, Patricia Jenkins of Portland, Oregon; and her chosen children, Frank and Linda Hensley of High Point.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Stephens in 2005.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2018, in the mausoleum chapel of Floral Garden Park with Rev. Frank Hensley officiating. Burial will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to Green Street Baptist Church, 303 North Rotary Dr., High Point, NC 27262.
