Mary Ellen Rhue Stewart, 79, of High Point, passed away, Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Born July 5, 1938, in Forsyth County, she was a daughter of the late Zennie L. Rhue and the late Lillian Hinsdale Rhue.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her husband, Charles L. Stewart of High Point; daughters, Deborah Self, and Belinda Mathis and husband Charles all of High Point; step sons, Eric Stewart and wife Alesha of TX, Chris Stewart of TN, and Scott Stewart and partner Dave Davis of TX; step-daughters, Lori Frasco of TX, Deana Price of GA, and Deneane Taylor of GA; and sister, Rebecca Teague and husband Blaine of Kernersville; sister-in-love, Becky Phillips of Kernersville; grandchildren, Travis Mathis, Erica Lichtenberger, and Nicole Mathis; great-grandchildren, Hailee Mathis, and Bella Mathis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, David Rhue and Aaron Rhue.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Friday, June 15, 2018, at Community Bible Church with Rev. John Wingfield and Rev. Jon Eric Woodard officiating. Burial will be at 4:00 PM following the service in Suggs Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, in Black Ankle, NC.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM prior to the service at the church.
