Mary Lou Giles Byerly, 74, of Sophia, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, in High Point.

Born January 22, 1945, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Delmar T. Giles and the late Loretta Williams Panchot. Mrs. Byerly was an accountant and an independent business owner of Byerly Enterprises. For many years she delivered Meals on Wheels and gave unselfishly to others through her business. She was always looking for some small way to help people in need. Mrs. Byerly was a longtime parishioner at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-nine years, David Byerly of the home; children, Jeff Orcutt and wife Kris of Florida, Greg Orcutt of Texas, David Byerly and wife Melinda of High Point, Mike Byerly and wife Cheryl of Trinity, and Julie Nelson and husband Ron of Alabama; fourteen grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 26, 2019, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Tom Norris, O.S.F.S officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service at the church.
