Mary Burroughs Dailey

Mary Elizabeth Burroughs Dailey, 82, formerly of Janice Dr., and a lifelong resident of High Point, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 27, 2016 at Shannon Gray Rehab Center.
Born December 23, 1933 in High Point, she was a daughter of the late Houston Jerome Burroughs and the late Lela McNeil Burroughs. Mrs. Dailey was a graduate of Allen Jay High School and was employed in the clerical field in the furniture and hospitality industry. Mrs. Dailey retired from Claude Gable Furniture and was a member of Green Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed music, traveling and going to flea markets and spending time with her family.
On December 16, 1953 she married, Jimmy A. Dailey of Trinity; also surviving is her son, Larry W. Dailey and wife Janet of Archdale; two grandsons, Mark M. Dailey and wife Jessica of Huntersville and Steven W. Dailey of Archdale; great-grandchildren, Lillian Dailey, Savannah Dailey and Bryson Dailey; two sisters-in-law, Coleen Dailey of High Point and Brenda Forrest of Galax, VA; and one niece, Renee Snider of Garland, TX.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Burroughs and Harvey Burroughs; sisters, Louise Brown and Marie Knight.
Memorial services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Friday, July 1, 2016 in the Gathering Room of Wright Cremation & Funeral Service.
The family will receive friends following the service.
