Martha Morey

Martha Morey, 95, of High Point, passed away Monday, May 26, 2025, at her home.

Born February 20, 1930, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was a daughter to the late Edward Martin Curry and the late Rose Marie Shea Curry.  A resident of High Point for more than sixty years, she had been an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Franciscan Family of Greensboro.

Her kind heart and gentle soul were evidenced by her many volunteer activities, including Maryfield (Pennybyrn) and the church and school at Immaculate Heart of Mary.  She also was a member of numerous local groups and treasured the friendships she developed through these activities.

She is survived by her son, Doug Morey; daughter, Maureen Schirtzinger (Jerry); and grandson, Robert Dale Morey.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Morey and sister Helen Holland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The family will visit with friends at 10:30 AM prior to the Mass.

Doug and Maureen wish to thank all the wonderful caregivers, who are like family, and for the love and care given to their mother.
