Martha "Ann" (Chaney) Hunt

Martha “Ann” Hunt, 67, of Lexington, passed away on September 20, 2020 at her residence.

Ann was born in Forsyth County, NC to Rachel Hunt Chaney and Ed Chaney on April 23, 1953. She was immensely proud of being the office manage at Shelba D. Johnson for Trucking for over 35 years. She loved the employees and the friends that she made during her time there. She also loved to go shopping and loved riding in the boat out on the lake. Some of her best times were spending the weekends with her family at their lake house.

Ann is preceded in death by her mother Rachel Hunt Chaney, her sisters Marilee Henderson and June Chapman.

Ann is survived by her daughter Augusta Safriet, her sons Greg Safriet, Charlie Safriet wife Johnna, Scott Safriet, James husband Jack Carvalho, her brother Eddie Chaney wife Judy, her grandchildren Tootie, Elizabeth, Teresa, Brad, Dylan, Ashley, Kaylee, Madison, Mackenzie, Mason, Heather, Sydney, and Chaney, her great grandchildren Payton, Taghan, Aspen, Daniel, Adeliade, Sebastian, Addison, Skylar, Kinley, Kaegan, Colson, Everly, and Lucy,

A Graveside service will take place at 10am September 26, 2020 at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery located at 401 W. Holly Hill Road, Thomasville, NC 27360
