Maripat Downey

Mary Patricia “Maripat” Downey, 78, of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Born January 23, 1943, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Regis Downey and the late Ruth Forney Downey.

Maripat is survived by her son, Frank Hutton of FL; daughters, Bobbie Hutton Campbell of FL, Leah Hutton of NY, and Ariana Lewis and husband Joe of High Point; brothers, Michael Downey and wife Marge of PA, and Joseph Downey of FL; sister, Denny Nichols of WI; grandchildren, Hank Hutton, Kadee Hutton, Layne Vaughn, Ady Siapsalis, Rachel Hutton-Orr Cabrera, Spencer Lewis, Pierce Lewis, and Quintin Lewis; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tim Downey, and John Downey; and sister, Loretta Tabor.

A celebration of Life service will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Paul Ciener Botanical Garden in Kernersville.

The family will visit with friends following the service.
