Marilou Bennett Floyd

Marilou Bennett Floyd, 67, of Lexington, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022, at her home.

Born March 8, 1955, in Guilford County, she was a daughter to the late Bryan Butler Bennett and the late Nettie Biles. She married the love of her life, Larry Malcom Floyd on March 23, 1973. Marilou retired from the US Postal Service as a faithful mail carrier.  She enjoyed being out in God’s creation enjoying flowers and birds. Marilou had a powerful presence and could be known to be a little bossy, she loved passionately and always sacrificed her needs and wants for others.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 49 years, Larry M. Floyd of the home; son, Lawrence A. Floyd (Karen) of Okatie, SC; daughter, Sherri Mincey (Brian) of Roxboro, NC; sister, Patricia Roach (Dale) of Thomasville; and grandchildren, Katie Leigh Floyd, Brian Austin Floyd, Ashli Mincey, Brianna Mincey, and Abigail Mincey.

At Marilou’s request there will be no formal services held at this time.
