Margaret Louise (Dillon) Dillard

Margaret Louise Dillon Dillard, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, November 18, 2024, at Hospice Home at High Point.

She was born June 3, 1939, in Boissevain, VA, she was a daughter of the late Henry Dillon and the late Grace Pawley Dillon.  Louise worked as a sewing supervisor for Blacksmith Furniture and was of the Baptist faith.

She retired from Blacksmith in 2001 and became a stay-at-home babysitter for her great grandchildren. She was one special lady and the loss of her is felt deeply by many even though she lived a full life.  For the past couple of years, we watched her fight her illness to be with us.  She deeply loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren as we also loved her dearly.  She was our rock and our go to for everything.

Her spirit and strength lives on through each of us and all those that she has touched by love, strength, conviction, wisdom, and beauty of her soul.  Love you Mom – Mamaw.  You may have passed on, but your memories will always live on within us, and you will forever be in our Hearts.

She is survived by her son, Robert Dillard of Trinity; daughter, Vickie Callahan (Tommy) of Sophia; sister, Geneva Godbey (Ronnie) of Glenola; grandchildren, Phillip Dillard (Jennifer), Justin Dillard, Chrystal Patrick (Daniel), Chris Therrell (Krystal), Brittany Therrell (Brandon Clubb), and Nicole Cress; great grandchildren, Desiray Therrell, Kayla Therrell, Kamdyn Therrell, Chesney Therrell, Gates Therrell, Kase Therrell, Shannon Patrick Springer (Alex), Gracie Patrick, Amy Patrick, Ashley Patrick, Aubree Newsome, Brayden Clubb, Luke Clubb, Tagen Callahan, Brayden Anderson, Lilly Dillard, Jax Dillard, Jamison Dillard and McKenzie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar Dillard, son, Randy Dillard, brothers, Buddy Dillon, Earl Dillon, Harry Dillon, sister, Freda Richardson, and great grandson, Daniel Patrick, Jr.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 21, 2024, Floral Garden Park Cemetery with  Rev. David Edwards and  Rev. Floyd Edwards officiating.

The family will visit with friends 5:00-6:30PM Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the funeral home.
