Margaret Rita Daley LaRose, 76 of Moffitt Drive, High Point died peacefully on February 24, 2018 after long illness at High Point Hospice Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born April 5, 1941 in Pittsfield Massachusetts, the daughter of Alfred and Mary Daley who both preceded her in death.

“Peggy” moved from Pittsfield in 1985 to High Point with her family due to her spouses employment and has enjoyed her life here in the south.

She was a homemaker who spent her days taking care of her family. She especially loved her numerous birds and dogs that she’s had throughout her life.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 55 years Phillip J. LaRose of home, her children Kerry LaRose Bonnema of Thomasville, Joseph LaRose of High Point and Margaret “Penny” LaRose also of High Point, a brother Alfred (Barbara) Daley of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, a sister Patricia (Ciro) Masucci of New Jersey, a sister Mary (George) of Pittsfield, Massachusetts and a sister Alice (Charlie) Christos of New Jersey. She also leaves 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, multiple nieces and nephews and an adored rescue pup which she named Shania.

There will be a Memorial Service at the VFW Post 9899, 2923 Archdale Road in High Point from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018.
