Mack Walker Holland

Mack Walker Holland, 90, of High Point, North Carolina passed away July 9, 2026, in Archdale.

Mack was born on April 13, 1936, in Randolph County, to the late Luther Verle Holland and Virginia Walker Holland. He was one of eight children and attended Allen Jay School. After school, he went to work for Merita Bakery delivering bread to stores in Thomasville and the surrounding area for fifty-five years. Mack loved his family and that love was evident in the years of work to provide for his wife of fifty-nine years, Ina Springer Holland, and his two daughters. After retiring from Merita, he worked in the Merita Thrift Store as long as he was physically able. He loved working and was a man that never met a stranger. He enjoyed talking and being with those he worked with and other friends. Aside from his career, Mack enjoyed working in his yard and around his home. Among the many things in his garden, his favorite items were his tomatoes. He always enjoyed the fruits of his labor from his garden.

Along with his wife, Ina Holland and his parents, Mack was preceded in death by his brothers, Floyd Holland, J.D. Holland and Branson Holland and sisters, Ruth Lois Haskew and Elizabeth Folwell.

Left to cherish Mack’s memory are his daughters, Kathy Lambeth and husband Luke and Sherry Helmstetler and husband Gregg; grandchildren April Lambeth, Christopher Helmstetler and Tyler Helmstetler; brothers, Charles Holland and Sam Holland; and many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Wright Funeral Service, High Point Chapel with Reverend James Gunter officiating. Burial to follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery in High Point.

The family will receive friends from 5:00PM until 6:00PM on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Wright Funeral Service, High Point.
