Lynda Bernice Corn

Lynda B. Corn, a faithful Christian, died Saturday, March 6, 2021, at age 73.

Lynda was born in Raleigh, NC. She was the first child of Dewey M. Corn and Christine Roberts Corn.

Her family moved to High Point in the mid-1950s. After graduating from High Point Central High School in 1965, Lynda matriculated to High Point College (now University), graduating with a bachelor’s degree in sociology in 1969.

Lynda was a flight attendant for United Airlines for nearly 35 years. Domiciled in Chicago, IL, she took full advantage of the city’s cultural offerings. Her travels took her to all corners of the US.

At retirement, and when her parents became elderly, Lynda returned to High Point, where she renewed her association with Green Street Baptist Church.

Lynda is predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her only sibling, Miriam Corn Barkley (Tim) of Greensboro, NC. She leaves two beloved aunts, Winona McKague and Lorene Corns, both of High Point. She has many delightful cousins scattered around the country.

Viewing will be held at Wright Funerals-Cremations, 1720 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC, Thursday, March 11, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, and Friday, March 12, 8:30 am – 2:00 pm.

Due to the Covid pandemic, a celebration of Lynda’s life with be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Green Street Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
