Lula Mae Dixon Jones, 81, of Winston Salem NC passed away Friday April 17,2026 at her home

Born April 1,1945, in Manning SC to the late Levi Dingle and late Lucille Dixon Ben bowling. Lula was a homemaker that lived outdoors, shopping, cooking, and cleaning. She was a caring and loving mother and grandmother who was loved by everyone she encountered.

She is preceded in death her son Roy Jones Jr, her brothers Leroy Whitfield, Leon Dixon, Willie Albert Dixon, Alphonso Whitfield, sister Sara Gibson, the grandchildren Keyahna Jackson, Kahil Jones and Kwymeek Jones.

She is survived by a son, Eric Jones of NC; Daughters Helen Ryant of NC, Barbara Jones and Joann Jackson of NY, adopted daughter Ann Millinghaus of NY; sisters Betty Burgess, Frances Lemon, Mary Lee Dingle Rivers (Edward) and George Ann Dingle Gourdine (Sydney) of SC; brothers Eddie Dingle (Gail) of Georgia and Alfred J Dingle (Debra) of CA; twenty two grandchildren, 41 great grands, 6 great great grands and a host of nieces, nephews and family. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the High Point chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Elder Charles Mildton officiating. Burial will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will visit with friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service.
