Anna Lucille Hoell Campbell, 91, of High Point, passed away at her home on Saturday, March 19, 2022.
She was born in Vanceboro, NC on June 8, 1930, and was the daughter of James Franklin Hoell and Verdie Elizabeth Wiley Hoell. Lucille was married on April 8, 1950, to Wallace Gwyn Campbell who preceded her death in 2001. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Colin Campbell, brothers, Eugene Hoell and Andrew Hoell, and nephew, Patrick Campbell.
She is survived by her sons, Larry (Debbie), David (Karen), Alan, and Steven (Ann); daughter, Teresa; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Sean (Sabrina), Mia, Bryana and Whitney; great-grandchildren, Paige, Christian, Sonny, Steven and Anabelle; sister, Melba Cazaubon; and sisters-in-law, Bobbi Campbell and Leony Hoell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank Joy Linthicum and Nell Sechler for being such faithful long-time friends, along with Cindy Kidd who was her caregiver and friend.
Lucille, or Lucy as she was known to some, worked various jobs during her lifetime but her true profession was being a Mom. Her passing leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her family. She was the “best Mommy, Granny and GiGi in the whole wide world.”
Lucille also loved Jesus and would share Him with anyone when she had the opportunity. She is now at peace in His presence.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Floral Garden Park with Annie Riddick officiating.
If anyone wishes to send a donation in her memory, you may send those to Samaritan’s Purse.
