Virginia Louise Folk Griffin, 81, of Kernersville, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Adams Farm Nursing and Rehab.
Born December 6, 1943, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, she was a daughter to the late Hugh Folk and the late Virginia Hightower Folk. Louise, as a registered nurse, had a lifelong passion for nursing. During her career under multiple specialties, she cared for pregnant mothers, Alzheimer’s patients and everyone in between. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville.
She is survived by daughters, Meredith Kleiner (Andy) of Denver, NC, and Ginger Hutchens of Kernersville; sons, Cory Griffin (Jennifer) of Holly Springs, Chad Griffin (Chrissie) of Raleigh, and Greg Griffin (Sherry Hunter) of Manteo; daughter-in-Law, Lea Chadwell of Wake Forest; grandchildren, Hannah & Claire Hutchens, Drew & Addison Kleiner, Connor & Colson Griffin, Parker & Gus Griffin, Taylor, Leah, and Brooks Griffin (Claire); and great grandchildren, Ella Boykin and Hattie Thomson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Griffin, a son, Sam Mauney, brother, Nicky Folk, and sister-in-Law, Connie Folk.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Main Street United Methodist Church.
The family will visit with friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM, prior to the service.
