Louie Hamilton Cody

Louie "Lou" Hamilton Cody, 95, of Pennybyrn in High Point, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Hospice of High Point.

He was born April 14, 1929 in Akron, Ohio to the late William McKinley Cody and the late Sarah Elizabeth Tilson Cody. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Miriam Lillian Lewis Cody; his brothers, Arnold Cody and William "Bill' Cody; and his sisters, Lavera Cody, Dusti Cody Deaver and Penny Cody Eck.

Mr. Cody served in the United Sates Air Force and received the rank of Major. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Business Administration. He retired from the US Department of Labor where he was a compliance officer. Following his retirement, he fueled planes at the Spartanburg Regional Airport.

Left to cherish his memory: his daughter, Linda Ruth Cody of High Point; son, William James "Jim" Cody of North Hollywood, CA; and his sister, Phyllis Cody Campbell of Harrisonburg, VA.

Celebration of Life service will be 2:00PM Sunday, September 22, 2024, in the sanctuary of Deep River Friends Meeting. Inurnment with Military Honors following in the church columbarium.
