Lois Malinda Tester

Lois Malinda Tester, 79, of Archdale, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021.

Lois was born in Banner Elk to James Monroe Tester and Rosa Allifair Presnell on July 11, 1942.  She graduated from Cove Creek High School.  As a young adult she moved to the Archdale area where she has resided ever since.

Lois loved God with all her heart and loved people, which was evident to everyone that knew her.  Lois was a kind soul and did not have a mean bone in her body. She would give anything she could to someone in need.  She was never given to worry because she trusted God and His plan. She was a very loving grandmother to her ten beautiful grandchildren and twelve precious great-grandchildren.  For fun, Lois enjoyed shopping with her twin, Joyce.

Lois is preceded in death by her life partner, Bill Crompton; son Stephen Presnell; father, James Tester; mother, Rosa Presnell, brother Wilkie Tester; and sister Marie Combs.

Lois is survived by her son, James Presnell and wife Christina; daughters, Brenda Wilson and husband Ricky, Anita Perkins and husband Rick, Angel McCarty and husband Troy; brother, Waldo Tester and wife Shirley; sisters, Joyce Self and Sarah Tester; grandchildren, Amanda Jackson, Ashley Ellis, Nathan Presnell, Rachael Presnell, Joshua Perkins, Nicole Perkins, Troy Shane McCarty, Jr., Bobby McCarty, Darby Ruffo, Monroe Presnell; twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating Lois' life will be held Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 3:00PM at Archdale Assembly of God, 4405 Archdale Road, Archdale, NC with Pastor Joe Horrell officiating.  The family will continue the celebration of Lois' life at 4:30PM at Creekside Park, 214 Park Drive, Archdale, NC. Please bring a covered dish to Creekside to share.
