Albert Lloyd Stone, 78, of Archdale, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born March 2, 1941, in High Point, he was a son of the late Albert Joshua Stone and the late Jesse Lee Scearce Stone. Lloyd served in the Army National Guard and was a retired foam rubber cutter with Triad Foam. In his younger years, he was a minor league baseball player. He enjoyed watching the High Point Rockers, the Carolina Panthers and listening to bluegrass music. Lloyd was a devoted family man who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He was a member of Valley of Blessings Church in Greensboro.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Wanda Miller Stone of the home; sons, Stephen Stone and wife Paula, and Brian Stone and wife Holly; daughter, Krista Pelata and husband Shawn; sister, Patsy Hege all of Archdale; grandchildren, Jonathan, Michael, Ashley, Christopher, Joseph, Emily, Elijah, Nova, and Phoenix.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lyndon Wall.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 22, 2020, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends following the service.
