Linda Morrison Patterson

Linda M. Patterson, 83, transitioned peacefully home, Friday, December 4, 2020, at Hospice Home of the Piedmont.

Born June 13, 1937, in Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late J.W. and Mattie Morrison. She was a 1955 graduate of High Point High School, and a 1957 graduate of Jones Business College. She married Leon H. Patterson Jr. in 1961, who preceded her in death. Linda was a long-time member of Welch Memorial UMC. She was an office manager for the City of High Point, W.S. Dept. After her retirement, she was secretary of Southside Baptist church for 10 years, officially retiring at age 79.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by daughter, Sharon Williams, brother, Johnny Morrison, and sister Anne Swaim.

Surviving family are daughters, Jennifer and Stephanie; grandchildren Leecia and Jason Williams; great grandchildren, Kaleb and Zachary Oxendine; sister, Mary Scott; brother-in-law, Mike Swaim; several nieces and nephews and her unofficially adopted daughter, Donna Boyd.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Tonia Reaves officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service.
