Linda Teague Buchanan

Linda Teague Buchanan, of High Point, North Carolina, passed away on April 24, 2026. She was born August 11, 1945, to Carl H. Teague and Mary F. Peace Teague.

Linda and her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Rae Buchanan, were high school sweethearts and remained married for 57 years, until Gerald’s passing in February 2023.

Linda devoted her life to caring for others, both at home and in her work as a nurse. She also proudly supported her family by helping her husband manage their plumbing and HVAC business.

Family was everything to Linda. She found her greatest joy in the time she spent with her children and grandchildren, and she will be remembered for the love and steady care she gave so freely.

She is survived by her children, Marnie Buchanan and Brian Buchanan (Margaret); her grandchildren, Scott Buchanan (Joslynn), Jay Buchanan, Andy Buchanan, Carter Ellenberger, Cael Ellenberger (Maddie), and Emory Gibson; and her great-grandchildren, Eloise and Margot Buchanan.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Rae Buchanan, and her sister, Joanne Teague Causey.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 2, 2026, in the chapel of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church with Dr. Jeff Patterson officiating.

The family will visit with friends in the Asbury Room following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of High Point.
