Linda Bowers

Linda Gail Varner Bowers, 64, of Thomasville, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the Hospice of Davidson County, Hinkle House.

Born February 19, 1961, in Guilford County, she was a daughter of the late Colvien Varner and the late Doris Hilton Varner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her niece Rebecca Dedmon.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Mike Bowers; brother, Tim Varner (Katrina) of Lansing, NC; sister, Gilda Dedmon (Chuck) of Wallburg; and her nephews, Charlie Dedmon, and Aaron Dedmon (Rae).

Linda loved to travel to the mountains and the beach, specifically Ocracoke Island was her favorite place to be. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

She was passionate about the humane care of animals, please consider a memorial contribution in her memory to the Humane Society of Davidson County; 1120 Piedmont Drive, Lexington, NC 27295; or to the charity of one’s choice.

The family will honor Linda’s life privately.
