Leona Marie Barcomb, cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away surrounded by the love of her family at Hospice Home in High Point, NC. Born in Montpelier, VT, in 1945, she lived a life full of love and dedication, touching countless hearts throughout her time in Derby, CT; Spartanburg, SC; and Jamestown, NC, where she spent her final years.

Leona's warmth, kindness, and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Michelle Forbis, Sheri Smith, and Denise Forrester; her sons-in-law, Gary Forbis and Larry Forrester Jr.; and her late son-in-law, William "Bernie" Smith. Leona was a proud grandmother to Alexis Leigh Smith, Abigail Layne Smith, and Mia Lynn Forrester, and a devoted great-grandmother to William Jax Smith and Aurora Jade Smith. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Lorraine Fedak; her late brother-in-law, Stephen Fedak; her brother, Leon Barcomb and her sister-in-law, Sue Barcomb.

Leona dedicated countless hours to service and volunteering, especially with Mobile Meals and the food pantry at Jesus Our Risen Savior, where she found great joy in helping those in need. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she served as the Director of Religious Education during her time in Connecticut, leaving a lasting impact on her community.

A celebration of Leona's remarkable life will be held at a later date, bringing together family and friends to honor the memories they shared with her.
