Lee Brandon

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Lee Pettus Brandon who unexpectedly left us on January 27th, 2025, at the age of 81.

He was born in Danville, Virginia on October 28, 1943, to his parents, the late William Smith Brandon and the late Margery (Pettus) Brandon. He grew up in the small town of Milton, NC and his heart never left there.

He loved God, his country, and his family. He was hopelessly sentimental, often taking care of his great-grandfather’s grave or chasing down photos of his extended family to ensure they were not forgotten. We were proud of his empathy and generosity for others, and he will be forever remembered with love.

He is survived by his daughter, Terri Carlisle (Michael) of Winston Salem, son Matthew Vincent Brandon (Angelia) of Lewisville, and four grandchildren, Andrew (AJ) Carlisle, Sydney (Syd) Carlisle, Savannah Brandon, and Vivianne Brandon. He is also survived by his only brother, William (Bill) Smith Brandon, Jr. of Danville, VA, and two nephews, Scott and Vaughan Brandon.

He will be laid to rest at 11:00AM Friday, January 31, 2025, Graveside Service in Cedars Cemetery, Milton, NC.
