Lawrence Mauldin Kitchin, 65, of High Point, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, July 10, 2025, at his home.
Born March 18, 1960, in Lawrenceville, GA; he was a son of the late Samuel Gordon Kitchin and of the late Bonnie Maysel Phillips Kitchin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Eddie, Ronnie and Wayne; sisters, Janana, Elaine, and Faye.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife Lynn Allred Kitchin; children, Heather "Flossie" Abshire (Billy), Samuel "Shake" Kitchin (Trista), Dustin "Governor" Ellis (Colleen), and Zackery "Shooter" Kitchin (Alexis Oxendine); stepchildren, Nicole Barney (Terry), Katrina Cockrane (Jamaal), and Mary Kemison; grandchildren, Brayden Ellis, Abel Ellis, Jayse Ellis, and Lennox Ellis; step grandchildren, Heather Jimenez, Isiah Jimenez, Xi’Kizzia Currie, and Ty’Quis Whitaker; step great grandchildren, Isabella and Kha’Loni; brothers, Joe Kitchin (Sharon), and Wallace Kitchin; sisters, Mary Kitchin, Ann Gilbreth, Cookie Wilkins, and Ruby Kitchin; his special nephew, Michael Kitchin (Rachel); along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be 2:00PM Thursday, July 17, 2025, in the Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point, with the Reverend C.W. Moss officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 1:00-1:45PM prior to the service.
