Larry Guy, 67, of High Point, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017, at his home.

Born December 11, 1949, in Forsyth County, he was the son of the late William Graham Guy and the late Nellie Mae Mabe Guy. Mr. Guy was a US Army Reserve veteran and a graduate of Gardner-Webb University. He was a retired church furnishing sale representative, a realtor, and member of the High Point Lions Club. Mr. Guy was a faithful and longtime member of Green Street Baptist where he served on various committees. On October 8, 2017, he was presented a lifetime deacon of the church.

Mr. Guy is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Candace “Candy” Cline Guy of the home; daughters, Christy Davis and husband Brad of Thomasville, and Shelby Guy of High Point; sisters, Wanda Clark and husband Frank of Walnut Cove, Carolyn Ball and husband Larry of Midway, and Becky Taylor and husband Jim of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Grace-Anna Davis, and William Graham Davis; aunt, Ruth Mabe of Belews Creek; and special cousin, Linda Blackburn and husband Larry.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Green Street Baptist Church with Rev. Brandon Ware, Rev. Dr. Bob Cline and Dr. Ben Omungu officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Tuesday at Green Street Baptist Church.
