Kristie Renee (Lanier) Wilson

Kristie Renee Lanier Wilson, 62, of Sophia, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023, at Hinkle Hospice House.

Born October 24, 1960, in Randolph County, she was a daughter of Terrance “Ted” Brooks Lanier, Sr. and Phyllis Ann Presnell Lanier of Sophia. Kristie was a musician, singing and playing in Woody Powers and the Midnight Express Band. She was also a graduate of John Wesley College, a homemaker, and made beaded jewelry.

In addition to her mother and father, she is survived by her husband, Bruce Wilson of the home; sons, Samuel Paul Wilson and wife Emily of Thomasville, and Jonathan Lee Wilson and wife Hannah Holleman of Trinity; daughter, Nicole Rochelle Wilson Hicks and husband Chad of Thomasville; brother, Terrance “Terry” Brooks Lanier, Jr. and wife Susan of High Point; grandchildren, Cheyenne Oxendine, Cameron Hicks, Caleb Hicks, and Liam Wilson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 21, 2023, in the High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the funeral home.
