Kitty Laverne Long Ivey, 56, of High Point, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at her home.
Born July 9, 1967, in High Point, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Long and the late Kitty Garner Long. Kitty was a substitute teacher for Randolph County School system and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She also loved her dog, Memphis.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tim Ivey of the home; sons, Justin Ivey (Morgan) of High Point and Chris Long (Rachel) of Tucson, Arizona; brothers, Darren Long (Patty) of Houston, Texas and Jeff Long of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Deborah Thompson of Lexington; and nieces, Karen Long of Houston, Texas, Sabrina Simmons and Debra Mounce, both of Winston Salem.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 8, 2024, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point.
The family will visit with friends following the service.
