Kenny Hicks

Kenneth "Kenny" Wayne Hicks, 58, of Thomasville, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the High Point Medical Center.

Born August 10, 1966, in Kennesaw, GA; he was a son of Carolyn Groom Edwards and the late Jerry Wayne Hicks.

He was a 1984 graduate of East Davidson High School.

Kenny worked for Thomas Built Bus as an assembly technician. He loved animals, adopting many throughout the years. Kenny enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He could fix anything; he could tear anything apart and put it back together. He loved racing and working on cars and going to car shows.

Left to cherish his memory; his mother, Carolyn Edwards of Lexington; sister, Kim Wright and husband Denny of Denton; brothers, Kevin Hicks and wife Pamela, and Kurt Hicks and wife Lauren; nieces and nephews, Kelli Wood and husband Trent, Jordan Hicks, Jake Hicks, and Joseph Hicks; great nephew Graysen Wood; and his aunt, Jan Groom.

Celebration Service will be 10:00AM Saturday, August 9, 2025, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point, with Reverend Morris Little officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
