Kenneth Gray Venable

Kenneth Gray Venable, 80, of High Point, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born July 3, 1943, in Surry County, he was a son to the late James Fred Venable and the late Edna Mae Danley.  Kenneth was a skilled carpenter who built and remodeled many homes in the course of his life. He was a member of High Point Friends Meeting.  He loved his family and got great joy in spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by sons, Terry Venable (Leigh Ann) of High Point and Greg Venable (Judy) of Wallburg; daughter, Angela Culler (Theresa) of Hendersonville; brother, Roger Venable; sister, Geraldine Parnell (Ronny) and Sylvia Mangan (Bill); grandchildren, Bryan Culler (Lauren), Emily Brumble (Brian), Allison Seymour (John), Justin Venable, and Mason Venable; great grandchildren, Grayson Culler, Finn Culler, Andrew Brumble, Ethan Brumble and Ava McMillan; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of sixty years, Linda Macy Venable, brothers, Bobby Venable, Billy Venable, J.C. Venable, Ralph Venable, sisters, Treva Johnson and Christine Venable.

Service will be 3:00PM Sunday, June 9, 2024, at High Point Friends Meeting; 800 Quaker Lane, High Point, NC. The family will receive friends, 2:00-2:45PM prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Kenneth’s memory to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC  27262.
