Kenneth Worth Canoy, Sr., 78, of High Point passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center.
Born March 25, 1943, in Guilford County, he was a son of the late Devie Worth Canoy, Jr. and the late Eva Margaret Deaton Canoy. Ken was a proud machinist mate having served in the US Navy, and retired from Gilbarco with forty years of service. He loved to metal detect, pan for gold, fish, and garden. Ken was a huge High Point Rockers fan, and was a member of First Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Vicki Prevost Canoy of the home; sons, Worth Canoy and wife Tommie of High Point, and Franky Canoy of High Point; daughter, Joann Beck of Kernersville; three brothers, two sisters, six granddaughters, two grandsons, three great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, and one grandson.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 18, 2021, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Chris Thor and Rev. Chan Shaver officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 19, 2021, in Salisbury National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service.
