Kelly Elkins Frye, 39, of Greensboro, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 16, 2017.

Born in Greensboro, Kelly was a 1996 graduate of Ragsdale High School and completed her education as a magna cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a degree in Child and Adolescent Development and Family Studies. She was a a pre-school teacher for many years and was devoted to her students and their families. As much as she loved the children, she recently changed career directions to train as the office manager for Ryan's Heating and Air LLC.

Survivors include her parents, John and Nancy Elkins of Greensboro; children: Jordan, Ashlynn, Kacey, and Logan Frye; their father, Michael Frye; sister Allison and husband Greg Gardella of Oak Ridge; brother Greg and wife Jenny of Rolesville, NC; eight nieces and nephews, a great-niece and great-nephew, numerous extended family members and friends as well as a dear friend Ryan Johnston. She was pre-deceased by her beloved niece, Alyssa Gardella.

Memorial service will be held at Groometown United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017.
