Kay Frances Kennedy Williams, 85, of Asheboro, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Hospice Home of Randolph County.

Born June 2, 1941, in High Point, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Edward Kennedy, and the late Nellie Josephine Morrow Kennedy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Lee Williams; and daughter, Kimberly Dawn Williams Smith-Parson.

Kay enjoyed going camping at High Rock Lake and liked to watch her daughters, Donna and Kim, play softball. She also had a love for going to watch a race at Bristol, Rockingham, Darlington, and many other tracks.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Williams; granddaughter, Brittany Renee Smith (Chris Rosenberger); great grandchildren, Luke Smith, Ava Rosenberger, and Cora Rosenberger; and sister, Joyce Carolyn Steele; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service 11:00AM Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church cemetery; 1393 Hasty School Rd., Thomasville.
