Kathy Maria Moore, 62, of High Point, ended her struggle with pulmonary fibrosis on Saturday, July 27, 2019.

Kathy was born February 17, 1957, in Greenville, Alabama, she was a daughter of Kendrick Moore and Joyce Franks Moore. Since moving to High Point in 1988, “Miss Kathy’s” greatest joy was helping local children develop their creative gifts through her work with the High Point Public Library, First United Methodist Child Enrichment program, and Theatre Art Galleries.

Preceded in death by her father, Kathy is survived by her husband, Mark Morton; mother, Joyce Moore; brother, Barry Moore (Lynda); sisters, Donna Miller (Steven), and Angela Somerville (Jeff).

No Memorial service is planned at this time.
